The Lescliff Patent Bracket.
A NEW PATENT
HELD BY A HAMILTON RESIDENT
As time passes old ideas are superseded by new and improved upon, and one of the latest things to be improved is the spouting bracket in connection with house building. A new bracket has just been patented by Mr W. Branigan, of Hamilton East, and in a few weeks will be placed upon the market. The new bracket has nine improvements on the old style, and is so constructed that it allows for the expansion and contraction caused in the spouting by the heat and cold. The new patent is so constructed that it holds the spouting firmly in position without any nails or tubes, and at the same time gives it such strength that a man could hang on to the spouting without damaging it. The bracket has stood a 2801b dead weight test, and has been approved of by fire inspectors who know the value of strong spouting when a fire fight 'is in hand, and lthe roofs of buildings have to be made use of This improved article can be manufactured and sold at the same prices as those now in us>e, and, therefore, will prove a valuable patent. Mr Branigan is now endeavoring-' to make satisfactory arrangements for the manufacture of the new bracket, and will likely erect a factory for this purpose in the near future.
