HEAVY FINS INFLICTED

WELLINGTON, Tuesday
A woman who arrived by the Warrimoo irorn Sydney, was fined £79, treble duty and fine, for Customs evasion.
Counsel pleaded th;.t she had been misinformed that gome household linen was not liabl-2 and so had not declared it. The Magistral? reiucrd the fine to £l9 108, which was paid.
