Anarchists, discovering his treachery. gave him the choice of assassinating M. Stolypin or himself being murdered. The authorities regarded him as a valuable secret agent. BogroS's relatives and immediate friends have been arrested. The prisoner will be court-martial-led on Wednesday. At the preliminary inquiry Bogroff stated that he had long waited a favorable opportunity to kill Stolypin. ■His courage failed him the first time he saw a chance but on the second opportunity he drew a revolver from his pocket, and under cover of a programme fired, hoping to escape during the excitement.
