Amongst the several new buildings that are in course of erection is that of Mr J. C. R. Watt. This is a large two-storeyed shop ana bulk store which will present a fine appearance when finished. The building is on a corner section and will haye a frontage of S5 feet to Studholme street and a frontage of 50 feet to Thames street. The size i o f the mam shop will be 50 by 53 feet and the bulk store will be 33 feet square. The next building of importance is that of a hall and two shops for Messrs Curie and Co. These are rearing completion and add to the <»ood appearance of the tir>wn
Opposite the above Mr Gummer is having two new shops built, and these Complete a fine block of business places.
In addition to the above the contractors are clearing away the oldest house in Morrinsville, preparatory to erecting another public hall, which will have a floor space of nearly the same dimensions as that of the Town Hall in Hamilton.
There are also at the very least half-a-dozen residences in the course of erection'by different contractors.
