WELLINGTON, Monday. The deadly pearifle is in evidence again. Yesterday a young fellow named Hubert White (19) was admitted to the hospital suffering from a gunshot wound in the chest. It appears that when out shooting at Aramoho yesterday he put his pearifle on the ground with the muzzle pointing- towards his chest, when by some unexplicable means, the gun went off. The wound is in a serious position but there is no great danger at present, though the bullet has not yet been extracted.
