The timber men at Dublin have struck on account of the masters declining to recognise the Irish Transport Workers' Union. Four hundred men in the goods department of the Great South Western Railway, at King's Bridge-street, have struck, declining to handle timber. A postal employees' campaign for a redress of their grievances and an increase of pay has been inaugurated at Glasgow and is b&ng widely supported. The conditions of .service are declared intolerable, and a resolution was passed urging the appointment of a committee of the House, of Commons to hold nn inquiry.
