Youth Swallows his Teeth.
{By Mail.) MELBOURNE, Aug. 28. A youth, aged 18 years, named Kenneth Stuart, was admitted to Alfred Hospital from South Melbourne, on IWednesday, suffering from an obstruction in the throat, caused by having swallowed a roof plate, attached to which were several artificial teeth. The article had, fortunately, ladled in a part of the throat where it would not Cause suffocation but the doctors feared toi attempt its withdrawal through the mouth in case the use o,f the instruments for the purpose should cause the platef. to descend into the body. It was, therefore. resolved to put him under chloroform, and take the teeth out through an incision in the throat.
