THE EGMONT SEAT. SIR JOHN FINDLAY UNDECIDED. (Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Friday. Sir John Ftndlav, interviewed regarding his statement in the Hawera Star that he had definitely decided to contest the Mount Egmont seat, said the statement was not true. Strong representations were being made to him to contest this seat, and he had had similar requests in respect of other electorates. He had the matter under consideration, but had not yet decided which sea't he would stand for. HAWKE'S BAY. HASTINGS, Friday. Mr G. S. Clapham is the fifth candidate for Hawke's Bay seat in the Liberal and Labor interests. CHALMERS SEAT. INVERCARGILL, Friday. A t'i fndtbin U circulating asking the Hon. T. Mackenzie to stand for Chalmers.
