Cr. Annandalei in endorsing ths statement that a great amount of good had been done by the visit to Wellington, considered that in view of the success met with from the personal interviews with the heads of the different Departments, that the chairman should be ashed to again pay a visit to Wellington in view of the fact that loans to a very large amount were being negotiated by the County. The speaker mentioned the proposed loan of £3OOO by the Wairamarama ratepayers, and that of £5.0'00 fur road work by the Te Akau settlers, while negotiations were also in progress for raising a loan for the erection of a bridge at Rnngiriri, a subdi'dy for which had already been granted of £ for £. Unless these matters were urged, which could l:est be done by a personal interview, the winter would pass with the same unsatisfactory state oi affairs, and very little, if any. progress made. Th? 60'st of the Rang'iriri bridge, they, c: course, did net know, but a letter had bean forwarded to the Department, asking that an engineer be sent up to prepare estimates.

The Council unanimously agreed that a further visit to- Wellington was desirable and the chairman was as\e'l to again represent the County on a visit to the capital city.
