SCARCITY OF LABOUR.
A QUEENSLAND COMPLAINT,
BRISBANE, January 8
Owing to the scarcity of suitable labour the Chamber of Commerce will convene a meeting of the sugar growers and other employers to de. cide the best means of obtaining labour for the cane fields. With the exception of a few gangs the labour available is of the most inferior description.
