STEELE PAYNE BELLRINGERS.

To-night at the Town Hill, Hamilton, the popular Steele-Payne bellringers appear in onr> of their enjoyable entertainments The gre&t charm of their programme id its wonderful veraatality, each item as it suoceeds its predecessor being of 9 different calibre, and yet all of a first rate order. There is not a dull moment in the whole entertainment, oellringinpj with harmonised vocal accompaniment alternate with items, both solo and harmonised on the banjos, violins and mandolines; the Russian sleigh bells ars wilfully handled and make a unique item. Then there are part songs with vocal imitations of banjjs and bag pipes the voices of the company boing under perfect control it is a treat to listen to. Interspersed with all this is the humorous element for which Mr Ralph Stsele and Jr I Alston Whidburn are responsible the former introducing his latest character songs and Mr Whidburn giving a humorous rendition of a country competition. In fact for variety, snnrtness and musical ability we doubt if there is another combination travelling able to compete with thu organisation.
