A most fitting fiuale to a very pleasant tournament was the complimentary dinner tendered, in the supper-room of the Xowt, Hall last night, to visiting bowlers. Some fifty gentlemen attended, under the chairmanship of Mr B. F. Sondes, president ol the club, who was supported on either nana by the skips of the visiting rinks. Some fine play had been witness-.d and a filip would be given the pastime here. Mr B-ukin acknowledged the toast for the Mt. The final especiall) had been a splendid game, and Paeria certainly deserved credit for putting up s splendid tight. Ihe health of the visitors was theD drunk most enthmiastically, Mr Bankin in his reply, statiu fe that if another tournament were promoted, tile Auoklaud club.would te largely reproaented. Messrs McWatters (president) and Bray (skip) acknowledged the toast, saying that their defeat was due only to having mel a better team.
