SALE OF WORK. The Town Hall was well filled yesterday afternoon when the sale of wrk in »id of St. Petoi 'd Church was opened. Tho buildiDg is well rilled with sta'le, where goods of various deeer ptions are retailed by bevies of young ladies. The stall holders are as follows:—Sweets—Mrs Coomb.®, 'Misses Stevenp, Rogers (2), Crawford and V. Hunter; fancy workMisses Sandes, Davis, Ham mind'on, Bowe and Ileyes; Japanese stal'-Mrs Hume, Misses Williamson, Mayes and Lovoll; si o ting gallery Missus G:aham, Swarbrick, Jiirton and C. Holiday ; Christui.B tree M sses Weaver, Munro and IS >rtha Manning; tlo er tUH Mrs Bosworth; variety stallMrs Going and Miss Mo-M'um; Pr. duce stall Mesdames Shanaehan and Jolly; plain work Mesdames Coated, Spain, Graham and Maxwell; weight guessing-Mi-S's Wilson and Rogers; afternoon tea -Mrs Hdloway, Misses Holloway, O'Neill, Beid, Ewen and Lambert, asiistsd by others. In the evening tho hall was crowded, and brisk business was done by the stallholders. Thirty-two ohildren took part in a march, which gave a very a very pretty effect. There were also mny pole and skirt dances, and a hoop song, ten children taking part in the latt r. The skirt dance was excellently performed by four little "irli, Misses lna Bosworth, Edith Wright, Ida Tyler and Florence Munro. The sale of work will be op"n again this evening.
