EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE
A meeting of the executive Committee wag held in the Old IS rough Chambers, this morning. There were present: Mesers J. Biirugh (president, in the chair), H. S. Hawkins, A. 11. Waring, A. Bell, M. G. Fairer and I. Ooates.
Mr VY. J. Speight, of the Strand Cafe, Hamilton, asked for a refund of 25s on the fee paid for the right of catering at the late show, as he had been given to understand that water would he available from the pump, but on the ground found it unfit for use.
Mr Bell moved that the request be not granted.
The motion was seconded by Mr Coates, and carried unanimously. The general opinion of the Committee was that they could not supply water for human consumption, but only for stock.
Mr J. Teigue, Walton, oomplained of the length of the parade and the under prominence given to volunteers. The letter was received, [Left Sitting.]
