THE SHIPPING RATES.
(By Tklegraph.—Pkess Association.) WELLINGTON, Last night. The National Dairy Association of New Zealand has arranged with the New Zealand Shipping and the Shaw, Savill and Albion Companies to carry produce to London at practically the same rates as the Federal Company. The reduction is to Is 'M per box on butter, or a little more than oneeighth of a penny per lb., and to three-eighths of a penny on cheese. Coast freights are included in the re- **■ vised tariff, and the reduction only applies to members of the Association* Forme!' freights nominally stand, the reduction being given by way of are 1 - bate. The saving effected, estimated on last season's shipments, will amount to over £2(>,000, but only a portion will go into producers! . pockets owing to the large amount of this season's produce, particularly butter, sold outright.
