THE SHIPPING BILL. AMENDMENTS ADOPTED. LONDON, November 17. Mr Lloyd George's proposals on the Shipping Bill enabling the Board of Trade to appoint and control superintendents, clerks, servants and mercantile marine officers have been adopted, and also a new clause to the effect that anybody who by false representation induces or attempts to induce any person to emigrate or engage a steerage passage, to be tined for each offence £oU or three months.
