Supplies to hand since last report are, ex Mangapapa, 362 sacks from the ojast, and ex Mokoia from Sydney 3§6 Backs. Tne latter is a very bright sample and has sola readily for seed, realising a slightly better price than the ooastal, of which only a small proportion can be utilise! for this purpose. '1 here is no alteration in the wholesale prioe ex wharf lor feed ma'ze. Wheat.—Stocks locally are on the light side, but they are quite sufficient for the demand, the millers not operating to any great extent. Pnoes are slight.y easier. Fowl wheat is in good demand, and local stocks are almost exnaugted, but the arrival of the Wanaka will remedy this state of things. Chaff is starting to come in more freely, although the stocks held at present are not excessive, lheru is a fair demand, with prices firm at lata rates. Oats.—The arrival of the Wanaka with fresh supplies from the South will relieve a market that was gettinj on the light side. I'rices remain unchanged. Southern reports are to the effect that matters aie , about the same. Potatoes.—The Mokoia only brought a moderate shipment from Sydney, consisting ot 619 sacks, amongst which there vvas a small lot of new potat es, which readily sold. This market is vry baio at present and the above shipment will cot be *utli cient to satisfy requirements till tbo jieit arrivals from Sydney. Price 3 are very ftjni at the late extreme rates quoted. The latest advice from Melbourne notifies that an advance of 20s per ton will be demanded for further shipment. Onions.—'The market is now absolutely bare, and S; juthe.'n markets are evidently placed in the came unenviable position, us continued inquiries are coming to hand from there without any prospect 01 being complied with. There are no fresh arrivals to hand just yet, but advices from Sydoey are to the effect that the new season's crop will be in good enough condition to ship next steamer, and we may look for a fairsized shipment by the incoming steamer. Butter. —The Loudon market continues j about the same, but theio is a slightly easier feeling in factory butter. Farmers should be very well pleased with the price they are getting for separator butter just now, for a reference to the cables would show that the London market is below whht is being given in the lucil market, taking into consideration the expenses that have to be added. Cheese.—The new season'* make is now coming forward slowly, and the supplied in town are rather light at present. There is no alteration in the market value. Hides.— V large quantity is being offer ed for sale lately, with prices incline 1 to be somewhat easier. Sheepskins are ooming forward freely without any material alteration in value. SYDNEY WOOL 3ALE=!. SYDNEY, November 13. At the wool sales yesterday 9600 bales were catalogued. There was a good demand for better class wools. Good greasy were in strong demand at Blightly higher rates. LONDON WOOL SALES. CHRISTCHURCH, Wednesday.
