WESTERN AUSTRALIA.
A SECCESSION REFERENDUM. PERTH, November 14. The Bill providing for a referendum on the question of seccession was read & first time in the Legislative Assembly. The Bill authorising a 2-£ millions loan for public works was also read a first time. The by-election at East Fremantle through the unseating of Mr Holmes resulted in the return of Mr Angwin (Labour) by an overwhelming majority. Mr Holmes did not contest the seat.
