HAMILTON STOCK SALE. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company Ltd., report: At Hamilton on Wednesday, we had a fair mmter and everything sold at late prices with the exception of old bulls and old dairy oows, whioh met with no bidding. Ab >ut 130 beef yarded, steers sold at from £7 15s t j£B for choice quality; cows in prime condition made up to £5 12s, smaller were sold at JE4 15s to £5; all young stores and grazers sold well. Sheep—4ls ysrded did □ot meet much competition. Wethers, in wool, £1 08 6d; shorn ewes, 14s 9d. There was a decided drop in young pigs and although all offered sold, the prices were very muoh easier ; 2}-year-old empty heifers made £3 to £3 2s ; mixed yearlings, £1 10s to £1 13s; smaller calves made £1 5s to XI 7s; empty cows sold at £2 10s to £3 according to oondition. Dairy oows at profit and showing breeding made up to jG6 12s 6d and there were buyers for more otagood class. A number were sold at from £b to £5 10s. As before mentioned old cows were utterly neglected.
