CAMBRIDGE BOROUGH COUNCIL.
—-♦ A special meeting of the Cambridge Borough Counoil was held last evening. Present: Mr E. J. Wilkinson (DeputyMayor), and Crs. R. Davies, F. 'O'Toole, C. C. Buokland and J. Ferguson. Dr. Frengley attended, and repeated the proposal he had made to the Hamilton Borough Council in regard to contributing towards the services of a certificated man ro supervise the whole of the Banitary arrangements of the borough. He asked the Council to make its contribution per amum whioh would entitle the borough to about one-ninth of Mr Middle on's tintt. The councillors present were highly pleased with the proposal, and unanimously agreed to it, the appointment dating from to-day. It was reported that the whole of the gas plant had arrived from Home and a pay. ment of X 720 on account was authorised. Tenders for carting the plant are now being called. The tender of Mr W. Morse (j£B 10s> for moving the pumping houBS dented.
