CAMBRIDGE STOCK SALE. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Ltd., report as follows: — On Friday, fvovembtr 2nd, at Cambridge, we had a large yarding of cattle and report a successful sale. Young cattle improved slightly in value and all sold at the hammer. Tne beef pens were well supplied with 90 prime steers and heifers and all sold at prices satisfactory to the vendors. Tne beßt steers from Messrs Thos. Rotimin, W. C. Morgan, J. Forest, and others realized from X 8 5i to X 8 17s fid ; lighter weights, X 6 Iss to X 8; good young cows and heifers, X 5 5s to Xti 7s 6d ; aged heavy cows, X 4 5s to X 5 10s ; 70 choice bulls el.cited keen competition, 2-year-olds from Mr W. Vosp-ir X 8 Bsto jB 10 10s; yearling to 18-month bulls, X 5 bs to X 7 lis; choice yearlings from Mr Robert Peake, X 8 8s to Xl2 12s; yearling to 2-year-old bulls from various owners, .£4 4s to XO 10s; aged bulls, X 3 to X 4 10s; yearling steeis, XL 16s to X2; mixed yearlings, XI 8s to XI 15s; others, 20i to XI 4s 6d ; 18-months steers, X2 5s to X2 14s; a muster of young quiet empty heifers, X2 12s 6d to X 3 6s; fre»h empty cows and heifers, X2 10s to X 4; store cows, XI 15s to X2 7a 6d. A large muster of dairy stock offered, and all really good cows and heifers ftt calving were required. Cows went up to X 8 12a 6d; good heifers, X 5 5s to X 6 7s 6d; otheis, X 3 15s to X4los; backward cows and heifers at store prices. '1 he 28 dairy cows from Mr E. Beere were withdrawn from sale. 143 shorn fat wethers and ewes realised 17s; 50 fat wethers with wool, XI 3s, A number of pigs elicited keen competition; good store pigs, XI 9s each | weaners, 14a tid to 16s; sows in pig, XI 5s to X 3 10s; rough store pigs, 12s; a spiing cart, X 7. AUCKLAND GROCERS' MARKET QUOTATIONS. The following are the quotations for butter and eggs for the week ending November 10, as arranged by the Dairy Produce Committee: -Factory butter, Is per lb; farmers' butter, 8i; separator butter, 81 Eggs, 9J dozen. Supplies of eggs are falling off, and the price has advanced Id per dozen. THE LONDON MARKETS.
