A COMPENSATION CLAIM.
(Bv Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, This day. The Arbitration Court heard argument and evidence to-day in the v compensation case of Robinson v. Union Steamship Co.. in which Sarah Robinson claimed £3OO compensation from the company on account of the death of her husband, Edward Robinson, who was burned while attending to tlie tires on the steamer Rotoiti, travelling between Nelson and Wellington. The chief evidence fo l ' the plaintiff was that of u medical gentleman, who deposeil that death was due to heart disease, the result of burns. For the defence, Dr Edwards' evidence described the death as due to an affection of the aorta. This disease could not have any connection with the burns. Judgment was given for the ' amount claimed, with costs.
