Iheordinary meeting of tbe Piako Cout* Council was held at Te Aroha yeeterday There were present: Crs. 'l'. Gavin (chaiiroan), N. A. Larney, J. MoCaw, W. C. King VV, Main. T. MoUloin, J. Donaldson, J. B* Thomas and C. W. Keeley, Foremen's Eepokt— Foreman Johnson reported that new bridges were reqnirfl over Maclaren's drain and at Baine's pit a ' the VVaitoa riding, He rec mmended that sanding be done on the rrads which were badly cut up last winter, namely, from loplar bridge to Allen's at a cost of .£94 16s; Waitoa-Tirau road, £9O 6s : Stanley road £231; from Horn's corner to Mr Davis .£Bl. In the Jlatuuiatu riding there were works required at Scott's gully at-» cost of about £3O ; from Hanna's to Bennett s £54.
