WAIKATO A. AND P. ASSOCIATION.

A meeting of the Waikato A. and P. Association was held at the Old Council Chambers, Hamilton, yesterday. Present: Messrs John Gordon (Chairman), H. S. Hawkins, Thos. Hinton, A. H. Waring, A. Bell and M. G. Farrer.

Judges.— the secretary rep-rtel that all the judges had replied accepting the pj=itiou except Messrs McHardy and Burke. —Mr T. tlintou said he felt sure Mr Burke would consent to aot.—lt was decided if Mr McHardy declined to aot to request Mr R. Lanauze, of Napier, to act in his stead.

Vehicles on Show.—Messrs Cousins and Atkin, J. Pomeroy, Chas. Grant, C. E. Storer and John Ferguson, wrote a joint letter asking that a resolution should be passed providing that no vehicle exhibit should leave the stands appointed, with the exception of those vehicles owned by those customers showing their own horses. —lc was decided to prohibit any vehicle catalogued leaving its stand during the show.

Catering Arrangement.).—Mr A. J. Speight's offer of £3O for the sole right to supply refreshments on the ground during the show days or £lO for the right to supply the stewards and judges with luncheon and afternoon tea, with a guarantee of at least 200 lunoheons, this sum to include the right to supply the public with luncheon in another tent (not to include the sole right to supply refreshments), was referred to a committee to make arrangements.

Championship Cards.—Mr Ellerbeck's specimen of champion certificate was adopted, and it was decided to have a number of cards struck off.

The Druid's Demonstration. The action of the sub-committee in grantiug the use of the showground to the Druids for their demonstration on November 17th for the sum of £3 3s was endorsed.

School of Instruction.—lt was decided to support the Hamilton Chamber of Commerce in an endeavour to have the Dairy School of Instruction established at the Ruakura Farm, Bamilton. Government Land Pkoi-osals. The Auckland A. and P. Association notified that it was intended to hold a meeting of farmers of the province on Friday 28th (this day), to protest against the land proposals now before the House and asked the local association to Bend delegates if possible.—lt was decided to ask Mr J. Barugb, who is in Auckland, to represent the Waikato A ssociation.and if he is unable, to appoint someone else to do so, the names of Messrs J. H. Scott and J. C. Allen being mentioned as suitable men.

New Members.—Messrs E. J. Ellis (Morrinsville) and Death (Waihou), were elected new members.

Luncheon 1 ickkts. -A vote on the question of issuing luncheon tickets for the second day of the show to £1 Is members was carried by 4 to 2.
