BOWLING.
The Hamilton Bowling Club had a very pleasant gathering yesterday, refreshments being kindly provided by Mesdames Sandes and Bright, assisted by several young ladies. At the end of the meeting, on the motion of the President (Mr J. S. Bond), a hearty vote of thanks was voted to them witn acclamation.
The following games were played : Haudicap Singles,— Browning 20, beat Parr 16; Seddon 26, beat Bjavan 21; Wheeler 22, beat Radcliffe 12; Browning 3<J, beat Seddon L 2 '; Paull 30, beat Badchffo 27; Browning 25, beat Houghton IS. Final: Paull 2\ beat Browning 23. Champion It nks.—Parr, Bateman, Edwards and Manning (skip), 2(1, beat Rollinsou, Sandes, Bond and Pearson (skip) 22.
The following games were also played ; Houghton, Bitemao, Edwards and Varney (skip), 2:1, beat, Rollinsou, Wheeler, Manniug and Pearson (skip), 111.
A tournament was held at the Cambridge Bowling Club's greon yosterday, the first priz 1 being a handsome pair of bowls and o.ise, and the second prize 2os. Iu all, 33 games were played, most of them being very interesting. The winners of the four sections were Mes-rs J. Rivers, T. Richards, A White and E. J Wilkinson. In th J semifinals, Rivers defeated Richards by 17 points to 14, while White defeated Wilkinson by 25 13 15. The dual will be played betw, en Riveis and White in a few days time.
