THE CAMBRIDGE BRIDGE
The controversy on this matter as between the Cambridge Municipal authorities and ourselves is ended, the matter having passed to that stage where discussion is neither required nor of use, and if the Government holds to its promise (which we have no doubt it will) the work should speedily be put in hand. We would just like to state, however, before closing the chapter, that Mr Brittain's letter, which appeared in yesterday's issue of this journal, bore out most strikingly the main argument we have used in our leading articles from time to time on the subject. The American Bridge Company is to be complimented on securing a very important contract, and we have no doubt they will produce an entirely satisfactory job.
