♦ From our Own Correspondent. The postponed meeting of the local branch of the Farmers' Club was held on Saturday evening. The following officers were elected for the ensuing year:—Chairman, Mr T. Carless (re-elected); vicepresident, Mr T. Paterso-a. Committee : Messrs A. Nicol, T. James, R. Fleming, E. Rathborne and G. Greaves. Mr R. Graham was appointed secretary in place of MrR. Duxfield, resigned. It was decided to hold the annual social on loth June.
