TE AROHA. A BEAUTIFULLY situated health rel\. sort at the foot of To Aroha Mountains, 115 miles by rail from Auckland. Daily trains direct, also gleam and rail service via Thames. Several excel'ent hotels and boarding-houses. Large supply of natural hot mineral waters, with firstclass Baths, both public and private. The hot waters of To Aroim are highly oilicacious in cases of gout, rheumatism, dyspepsia, neuralgi i., sciatica, eczema and other skin diseases, and iu disorders of the urinary organs, liver and spleen ; also iu ailments due to excess of acidity. The overland route from Lake Te Anau to Milford Sound is one of the finest scenic track* known. Te Anau is reached from Dunedin and Invercargill by train (50 miles, and coach (52 miles). At the head of the Lake (which is 38 miles long) is Glade House (Government) available for the accommodation of visitors. Tariff.—los per day for the first seven days; 8s per day thereafter. Children between the ages of three and twelve halfprice. At Glade House a guide is obtained for the overland Alpine trip. There are huts at convenient distances on the track, Accommodation House at Milford, and an oil launch on Milford Smmd. Lake Manapouri is easily accessible from Lake Te Anau.
