The following scale of summer rates now ruling is fixed for the purposes of this contract, namely : Poultry, in cases, frozen before shipment Is (id per cubic foot, babbits, hares, packed in cases and thoroughly frozen before shipment Is 3d per cubic foot. Mutton, pork, or veal Jd per lb. Mutton - Haunches, legs, or mutton in crates if-lfjths of a Id per lb. LamtkKMtiths of a Id. Heef pd per lb. Kidneys and sweetbreads j|d per lb. Horses and cattle, full grown .£l2 10s. This rate provides for fittings, water, and accommodation for fodder to extent of half a ton weight per animal, but not to exceed 6Uft in measurement. Bulls, stallions, and other description of live-stock as per special agreement. All other cargo, both general and refrigerated, at summer rates to London ruling at the date of this contract. The contract entered into by the (iovernment and the Campany provide that on each outward voyage from NewZealand the steamers shall call at Freemantle, in Western Australia, and provided they are unable to obtain a full cargo in New Zealand shall also be at liberty to call aud take cargo at one other port in Australia en route, but whenever it is reasonably possible the contractors shall give precedence to cargo from New Zealand to South Africa to any cargo from New Zealand to Freemantle. iiacli steamer shall discharge at Freemantle, and also at Durban, I'ort Elizabeth aLd Capetown.
