In our last issue we mentioned the advent 0 ( Mr Walter Huntley, the popular actor and Shakesperian scholar. The financial success of the tour is an open secret. It most be an encouragement, to those directly concerned in the tour, and is of more than passing value to ourselves, for the playgoers of Hamilton have proved they will loyally support a first class entertainment, "Hamlet" will b* produced on Friday evening, in which Mr Bunt-ley stamps himself as a Shakesperiun actor of the highest calibre. He possesses the somewhat unusual quality of originality. His scene with the Ghost is admirable, and that with the 0 icen is also one of Mr Bentley's strongest iuirl bpst. The Belfast N*ws, speaking of Mr Walter Bentloy's " Hamlet," says " The engagement cf Walter Bentley is nstly regarded as of special interest, from the fact that in several of hie impersonations, notably in that of " Hamlet," he is rightly considered as ranking second to, perhaps, but one actor oil the English stage." The company will open at the Volunteer Hall, Hamilton, to-morrow (Friday) evening. An entire change of programme will be announced in our next issue for Saturday night, that being the farewell performance, after which the company proceed to Cambridge to open on Monday, December 3rd ; and, judging by the way the seats are being booked at Capt. Reid's, we anticipate a bumper house. ; ( BY TELEGIUPH.-OWN CORRESPONDENT). Thames, Last Night.
