ACCIDENT AT TE AWAMUTU.

A very unfortunate accident happened last Friday, by which Mr Edward Wall g)t badly hurt, He was driving a 12-ft disc with a four-horse team in a paddock of Messrs 11. and JV Goodfellow's, near the Te Awamutu station, and while the discs were turning at the head of a gully they eapsjzed, Wall was thrown out of his seat, the wooden bar connecting with the swingletrees striking him across his bent leg, breaking it clean in two places; the elevating rod also lacerated his arm, Luckily, the pole smashed and stopped the way of the discs, or they would have sjone over him. The horses got clear and bolted. Poor Wall lay on his back yelling for help. Mr Long, the station* master, heard his cries and went to his assistance and got hirn clear of the 'machine. Other help arrived after some time, when he was taken home. Eis leg hai been set by the doctor, and he is now mending as well as can be expected. Great sympathy is felt for the poor fellow, as he was very popular and deservedly liked by all who knew him.
