Athletic Club Concert'-The committee of the Athletic Club, have gaeured the nsenf Ihe L'rfiii.ip; belnniririg to Mews ■W»lloii,Conltlia-d <ind Gr.ihnm and kindly lent for the concert by that firm. A tempo■rtiry stage will be rigged up in this and a bumper house is expected, so aR to thoroughly initiate this now hall into its fresh duties . A long and varied programme has been got ready and when one ■remembers that names like Miss Allan, Mrs Binpham, Mrs Andrew, Mrs Geo Hunter, Miss Archer, Miss Walker, and Messrs Mackeliar, Ryder, Singleton,' Dawson, Baddilv, and Aubin appear on the card, on? wonders how it can all be done for a shilling, There will be the usual dance afterwards, the floor of the granary being in tip top order. The concert will make a fitting wind up to the day's fun. Prince of Wales Birthday.--The Athletic Club committee are sparing no pains to make the races a success. There are good entries, the course is good, there is a splendid natural grandstand, some good afternoon tea will be obtainable, the races will be run off sharply to time, and beiug the first thing of the kind in To Awamutu for a long time, should be largely patronized.
