AUCKLAND NEWS.
[BY telegraph.-own correspondent] * Auckland, Last Night; Mr J. M. Butt has been appointed by the Government Auditor of the Bank of New Zealand; It is understood that the directors will appoint Mr J, 0. Andrews acting general manager. The manager of the Waihi.mine telegraphed to-day: " During 28 days ending, 20th inst., 2,100 tons ore were crushed and treated, yielding £7835 worth bullion. The last return was the largest to date, but'this one is still more by £ll9, an' extra 30 tons having been' treated this month."
