WHANGAMAIRI BRIDGE.

j, - TO THE EDITOR.; IR,-I see by your report of the meeting of he Kirikiriroa Road Board that a report was received stating that my measurements of the Whangamairi bridge approaches were 1292 yards wrong. It does not say from whom the report came, which I think is very unfair to me. Mr John Gordon brought it to the meeting, so perhaps he will explain how he came by it. For the information of the ratepayers I may say that the report is a false one. The remark made by the clerk that this was a criminal thing, and that! should be prosecuted, comes well from a public servant. He condemns the criminal (so-called) before he is tried, and shows wh/t justice I may expect from that source. As the affair is likely to fce fully fought out, I willsay no more now. —Yours truly, '■■ ■ • T.G.SANDES,
