THE QUEEN'S WINE CELLARS
Tiik Queen' (says the World) possesses (in immense quantity of wine, thero boing very large cellars, and most of thorn full, at St. Jnmes' Palace, Windsor Ca.itle, and Buckingham Palaco. No great stock of wine is kept either at or at Lalmoral, the supplies of those places being renewed as often as may bo necessary. Tho Queen's collection of old port and sherry, East India, Madeira, and Cabinet Rhino'wines is probably tho largest and finest in the country, mid her Majesty bus a splendid cellar of Imperial Tokay, which was Princo Albert's favourite dessert wine. George I^. purchased vast quantities of port, Madeira, and shorry, which ho was privileged to import freo of duty; and in those days members of the Household were in the habit of getting a grsat donl of wmo in the same way, under the pretext that it was being ordered for the King. ■
