She, however, remembering having heard of a thing being seen like it some few years back, at Hikurangi, took courage and walked towards it, wiivug her kit she had with her, the deer then turned round quickly and bounded through and across the Mangaouika creek, and up the hill towards l'irongia. She describes the deer as having large antlers, two troas with branches growing out of its head. their increase. Our Parson,-Our new parson thckev. Mr Wilson, preached herein St. Saviours Church, oil Sunday last, and made a Rood impression on his congregation, before commencing his sermon he madeafew remarks on his coming duties amongst us, asking earnestly lor the co-operation of the parishoneis, to enable him to carry on his work to the satisfaction all concerned. I fancy the rev. gentlemen will be well liked, und it is to be hoped ho will be well supported, and his resiJence amongst us mado nf benefit to u> and satisfactory m every sense of the word • himself.
