Pkksu.vtation.—A present ition was made to Constable Caliill on Tuesd iy night on the eve of his d"partur,-!. A number of gentlemen assembled for the purposrj in the Palace Hotel. Mr ,T. 1C Taylor, J. P.. occupied the chair and in a neat speech made the present ition and referred to the loss the district was about to sustain by the iransferof Constable T. Caliill to Hamilton, but Uotorua's loss wouU he Constable Cahill's gain.
