A consultation of four doctors was held this morning, and I understand, they expressed tile opinion that the Premier's illness is not likely to prove serious if he onlj absents himself from the House for the rest of tlie session and avoids all work in the meantime. Mr Balance's colleagues | strongly advised him to take a rest when j he became so ill about a month ago, but lie I persisted in attending to his wuik in thej Mouse the result of which is his present j prostration. Mr Seddon is Acting-I'miiiier | and leads the House in his chief's absceuce.
