WAIKATO AGRICULTURAL AND PASTORAL ASSOCIATION.

The meeting of subscribers of the Waikato Agricultural and Pastoral Association, convenod to take place at Ohaupo tm Tuesday, was nut very largely attended. However, those present were mostly executive committeemen, and as the chairman of this body (.Mr John Fisher) had prepared a draft of the constitution, which required very little amending, the work was soon got through. It is intended to piint the rules, and to place a copy in tha hands of each of the members. The constitution provides that the tirsc annual meeting shall take place early in the month of December, and that the a/Fairs of the Club shall be managed by a president, vice president, and general committee of twentyfour Tliey also provide for the election of an executive committee, to be chosen from the general committee, for the carrying out of special objects, the said committeo to consist of nine members, including the president and vice pre-i lent, lour to form a quorum. After the conclusion of this portion of the business", the meeting proceeded to the election of officers, when, on the motion of the Chairman, Mr James ! ITuine wa< unanimously elect* d president. The election of Mr John Fisher as vicepresident was equally well received. Mr Martin IJutler was appointed :;eere!ary and tr.'a-urer. Before, the meeting separated Mr 11. Fisher suggested that a ladies' jumping match should be included in the .-.cliednlo for the forthcoming show.
