PATRICK, By The Premier—Phcenix, by Gownsman out of Ikamataki, by Figaro out of Brunette. Figaro by Gil Bias, out of Flora Mclvor (Flora Mclvor the dam ot Frailty, the dam of Trenton, Cuirassier, &c. Phoenix, dam of St. Patrick, was a good performer. Iu 1875 she won the Pahautanui Stakes at Wellington, beating a large field, also the Consolation at Mastertou. Ran second to Cocksure for the Hutt Park Stakes, and third for the Provincial Plate, being beaten by Fishhook and Pungawerewere (both Dunedin Cup winners). St. Patrick is a beautiful dark chestnut, standing over 16 hands, with grand bone and good temper. He has been shown six times, taking jix first prizes, including Hawke's Bay and Cambridge last year, as an entire for getting carriage horses.
