SPRING.

Reautiful Spring witii sunshine and showers. Hedge. rows and trees all laden with flowers, Nature once mure spr.ads her carpet of er.vn, And star-like the daisie.-, in numbers are seen. The lark from his bed is early to rise With a loud song of praise as uowavd he (lies ; Kvevywhere round birds whistle and sing A s■ >n{r nf their own, called " Ijeautiful Spring." Tlio horse and the kine ire grazing content, With t hem yon know the winter is '' Lrnit ' ; The e»vs rest at ease while the lambs are at p!ay, Fnil of delight for a bright sunny day. The leaves seem to laugh as the gentle winds blow, All Nature fsals glad wherever yon go ; The croens from sleep with the sun does arise, Its blossom to allow—a scarlet surprise. The snowdrop so fair now bows her white head, Chaste as the F rost that covered its bed ; The bird and the hare and the wise honey bee Are busy, quit; busy, so busy you see, They visit the meadows all covered with (loH'els, Coining and going : tnid sunshine and showeis ; Springtime of seed, Springtime of birth, .Springtime of beauty, Springtin o of miith, Springtime of love, is Springtime 1.11 ea.th.
