L, Wright, Esq., Bay Mare Zip, by Gladiateur, out of Crinoline, by St. PatrickBella. Zip is over 16 hands high, has won mauy races over hurdles, and is in foal to Castor Prudeuco, Chestnut Mare, by Danebury, out of Discretion ; Discretion by Towton, out of Cassandra, by Priam, out of Princess, by Gratis, out of Roankit. Prudence has won many flat races, aud is in foal to Castor Duchess, Brown Mare, bred by Mr Nathan, and has never been raced ; got by Muskeb, out of Lady St. Clair, by Pacific — Glaucus mare. Duchess won Ist prize at South Franklin Show in IS9O, and silver cup at same Society's Show last year, for best brood mare ; in foal to Castor.
