TO 'I lIK KIIITOK. Sin, — A statement made in a resent i-siie of T'jik Waikato Timks informs us that the Government propose to fix the standard weight of a gallon of milk at eleven pounds. If this statement has boon made with authority; it will be interesting to lo.irn on what ground* such a decision has been arrived at. The accepted specific gravity of milk at 00" Fahr is I.OHO or say 1 Olb and a minute fraction, to the gallon. How has the eleven pounds been arrived at?—l am, etc. Dairyman.
