FIRE AT KANIWHANIWHA.
A very narrow escape from a disastrous fire was experienced last week at Kaniwhaniwha by Mr Noble. It appears that the kitchen which is detached from the main building, by some means or other got on fire during the night, and was hurnt to the ground. The back of the dwelliug house alao canght fire hut heavy rain fortunately falling at the time, put it out. The first intimation the family received of their loss, was upon one of them going out in the morning to the kitchen, only to find that there was none.
