THE DISCHARGED RAILWAY HANDS.
REPLY FROM THE COMMISSIONERS. (BY TKLEGRAPH—FKKS.S ASSOCIATION.) Christchukch, Lint Night. The Railway Commissioners have replied to tho public petition asking for the reinstatement of the railway servants dismissed during the strike. They state that tho petitioners must be under soma n-unppre-hension as to the position, and that should the men who quitted work at Lyttelton without notice wish to resume work and obey the regulations, the ordinary channels of communication are open to them.
