(by klkothic tblkgraph.—copyright.) Brisbane, September 17. Mlt Morkheau has resigned the leadership of the Opposition. Mr Donaldson, who has been chosen to succeed him, lias promised the Government a fair trial. Sir S. Griffiths, in his ministerial statement, said the business for the present session would be chiefly financial. Putting the question of black labour aside his objections to the separatum of tho northern districts had been greatly removed, and in the event of federation he believed the colony would be divided into three parts.
