LATEST AUCKLAND NEWS.
(itV TBl.KtillAl'll — OWN COIIIIKHI'ONDKNT.) Auckland, Last Night. Thk farmers lately have been sending in large quantities of potatoes owing to the temporary rise in value. Prices, however, have fallen considerably owing to large southern shipments coming to hand, and some upcouutry growers contemplate in consequunce of the abundant supplies purchasing i'l town leaving tho local markets short stocked thus giving colour to tho idea that there will be an early lise in values there. The weather to-day has beun very wot, and little business is doing.
