Aitkrn's Markkt Rki>ort for the week ending September 13 : —A fair amount of business has teen done, although the demand for some lines has been less keen, particularly potatoes, which are now glutted. Large quantities have come in from Waikato and East and West Coasts and values continue to fall daily; and even with this in view it lias been almost impossible to quit in any quantity. Purchasers will only buy from day to day. Upwards of 700 sacks to hand, of which about 200 were disposed off at from £3 to £4 10s, and up to £5 for small lots; poor lots, £2 to £2 Ids ; Waikato seed (Tuesday's sale), £4 10s; Friday's sale, £3. Onions to hand in moderate quantities, mostly of poor quality; prime lots, ljd to 2d, poor Id to ljd. Pumpkins, £2 15 to til 10<: carrots, 25s to inferior, 15s to 18s. Wheat: Poor, 3s to 3s 3d ; Rood fowl wheat in active demand at 3s i?d to 3s (id (none to hand); bran, £-1 10?; sharps, £5; maize, 3s 4d to 3s lid : oats, 2s to2i 3d.
