Thk paper on the breeding and managment of sheep, which will be read at the meeting of the Waikato Farmers' Club, to be held in Cambridge on Monday, should ensure a larger attendance of members than usual. There is no subject ot greiter importance to Waikato settlers at the present time than that of the profitable management of oheep. In view of the greatly improved price of wool during the last few months, and the increased stability of the frozen meat trade at Home, it is only to be expected that a determination to go more largely in to the raising of sheep, than of auy other branch of agriculture should be decided upon by the Waikato farmers. We are, however. Bafe in saying that a large proportion are entering upon the business with little if auy experience, and unless suitable preparations are made and sufficient knowledge is brought to bear upon the subject, failure and disappoint' ment are likely to ensue, and a severe check will consequently be given to this promising branch of the farmers' business. Indeed this feeling already prevails to some extent, and it is in view of this, and to avoid such a calamity, that the Clttb seeks to ventilate the subject as fully as possible. Let those, therefore, who have something to learn, and more important still, those who have some knowledge and experience to impart, make it a point of duty, due to the community generally, to attend the meeting of the Club at Cambridge on Monday- _
