The Waikato Times Qsc«, Friday. AUCKLAND MARKETS. Messrs A. Buokland and Sons' Weekly pout.—At the haymarket during the past week prices have remained at late values. Oaten sheaves, 2a 6d to 2a 9d per cwt. meadow hay, from 2s 6d to 3s Gd ; straw, 8s to 15s per load ; oats, 2s Id to 2s 3d per bushel; chuff, 3s lid per cwt. At the hide and skin sale on Tuesday a large number were pitched ; stout hides sold at 3.j;d to 3f d ; extra heavy, 4jd and ; medium ox, 2d to 3d ; light ox the same as cows, from ljd to 2d per lb; sheepskins, 3s Cd to 6s 3d; station hides, 2s Gd to 4s Gd each. Tallow, 17s 3d to 19a 3d per cwt. Wool, 5Jd to GJd per lb. At the horse sale on Friday most of the horses offered were sold ; good springcart horses sold from £12 to £16. Mr Goodfellow's colts brought £25 and £29 10s each; hacks, from £3 to £10. At the Remuera Yards no alteration in price for fat cattle from last week, the best at lGs per 1001b. Sheep lower in value. A large number of pigs were yarded ; the bacon pigs averaged £1 each; prices for rough pigs nominal. We quote : Feed oats, at from 2s to 2s 2d per bushel; maize, 2s lid to 3a; bran, £3] 5s to £4 per ton; carrots, £2 to £3 per ton. Horses: The demand for horses of a decent stamp has continued, and there remained a demand for active horses suitable for quick draught and light harness. A fair number were brought forward on Friday at the Durham Yards, aud competition was good throughout the sale. We quote: Hacks, at L'om £5 to £1010 a : light harness horses, from £510s to £12; medium draughts, £6 to £14 10a. Wool, hides, and skins : Rather large quantities have been brought forward, and the demand has continued steady at the previous week's values, 5d per lb being the top price reached for extra heavy ox; medium, 3d to 4d per lb; light, lid to 2}d; cow, ljd to caff skins, 2|d to 4Jd; sheep skins (butchers'), 4s 6d to 5s sd; each ; country skins, Is 10d to 3s Gd each ; pelts, 10d to Is 3d each. Cattle: Sufficient have been brought forward for requirements, and a steady demand has existed for all descriptions, with a little upward tendency in the value of fat stock. At the Newmarket Yards, on Tuesday, there was an average muster. Dairy cows and stores were unaltered in value, but fat beasts were fully os per head higher in values, but prices fluctuated considerably at per 1001b., coarse insufficiently fatted steers selling at 13s, whereas top sorts reached 17s per 1001b.=s; cows, from 12s to lGs; some averages of steers were £6 17s Gd, £G 16s, £6 2s,'jEs 16s 9d, So 12s 6d ; cows, £5, £4 10a, £3 103, £3 7n 6d, £3 ss, £3 23 Gd.
